In a momentous occasion, ARCOS, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Environment in Rwanda and the Rwanda Forestry Authority, along with other dedicated partners, has officially launched a tree planting campaign with an ambitious vision. This initiative, a vital component of Rwanda’s commitment to environmental sustainability, ARCOS aims to plant a staggering 100 million trees by the year 2030. Today’s launch ceremony was a celebration of collective efforts and a symbol of Rwanda’s commitment to addressing the pressing global issue of climate change through reforestation and environmental conservation. The event marks an ongoing long-term mission to restore and protect the nation’s ecosystems and enhance its resilience to the challenges posed by climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an outstanding display of solidarity, ARCOS, in partnership with Kirehe and Rulindo District, extended its support to these districts, launching additional tree planting campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These new trees will include a variety of species, both indigenous and exotic, such as agroforestry, woodlots and fruit trees. Their presence will not only beautify the landscape but also serve a multitude of purposes. From improving soil fertility for increased agricultural productivity to expanding forest cover, preventing soil erosion, and enhancing air quality, these trees will play a pivotal role in securing Rwanda’s environmental future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
