Toa Avalos is a Belgian master student in Biology of Organisms and Ecology from the catholic University of Louvain. She carried out a research on " The effects of salinity over the developmental plasticity of the mangrove rivulus (Krypptolebias marmoratus) : an integration of behavioural, physiological and epigenetics approaches" for her master thesis. She had an option in Biodiversity during her master and made an exchange program in Macquarie University in Syndey, Australia.
She made 4 months internship at ARCOS and was involved in the project of "Bioinformatics-led solutions for sustainable natural resources management, Nyabarongo wetlands" (BS4NR). She started on mid-February and ended her internship in mid June (From 13.02.2017 to 16.06.2017)
